Auditions for A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum begin Monday, March 12
Blue Water Theatre Company is excited to announce that our 2012 spring production will be Stephen Sondheim's comedy A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
Set in ancient Rome, Forum follows the exploits of a slave (Pseudolus) as he works to gain the hand of a beautiful girl for his master in exchange for his freedom. Considered by many to be one of the funniest musicals ever written, Forum is sure to have audiences laughing all night long!
Auditions for Forum will begin on Monday, March 12, and are open to all students currently in grades six through twelve. Prospective actors will not be required to prepare anything for their audition, but will be invited to present a one-minute comic monologue if they choose.
Rehearsals for Forum will begin on Monday, March 26, and will culminate in three performances at Eisenhower Community Center on June 14, 15 and 16.
