Rehearsals for “Les Miserables” take place from 9:00-4:00 on Saturdays, and from 7:00-9:30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The girl who is cast in this role will only be required to be at a couple of rehearsals (which we will work out with her family) up until tech week. Dress/tech rehearsals (at which attendance is mandatory) take place from 5:00-9:30pm on February 10, 11, 12 & 13 (Monday through Thursday). However, it is likely that we will be able to let her go home early on most or all of those four dress rehearsal evenings, as her role in the show is done fairly early on.
Performances are scheduled for February 14-16 and February 21-23.
Girls who are able to play “young” (roughly ages 8-10) are welcome to audition. Whomever is cast in the role will pay a $175 tuition fee, which covers instruction, costuming, and other materials. Scholarships are available. Please contact Alison Haseman at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions about scholarship eligibility and availability.
The first round of auditions will be done via a video submission. Girls who are interested in being considered should learn the song “Castle on a Cloud,” and submit a video of them singing it to Charlie Leonard (director).
In addition, parents should complete the online “Les Miserables Actor Information & Conflict Sheet,” which can be found by clicking HERE. Please note that some of the info on that sheet (such as scheduling conflicts up to this point) are out-of-date and can simply be ignored. We are most interested in the contact/personal information, and in the scheduling conflicts from this date going forward.
