Cast members will receive an email from us in the coming days with instructions on prep work in anticipation of our first rehearsal on Wednesday, August 9.

Blue Water Theatre Company is very pleased to announce that we are bringing Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize winning play Our Town to the stage in the fall of 2017. Told in three acts — called “Daily Life,” “Love and Marriage,” and “Death and Eternity” — Wilder’s depiction of life in the tiny village of Grover’s Corners has become an American classic since its first production in 1938.

Rehearsals begin August 9, and take place daily (Monday through Friday) through September 6. Rehearsals will be held at various times. Please consult the OUR TOWN INFO PACKET for a specific schedule.
Auditions are open to actors who will be entering grades 6 through 12 during the upcoming (2017-2018) school year. They will take place on Tuesday, July 11 and Thursday, July 13 between 6:00 and 9:00pm.
If you wish to audition, please do the following:
(1) Download and print the OUR TOWN INFO PACKET. In the packet you will find two sheets — an “Actor Information Sheet” and a “Rehearsal Conflict Sheet” — that must be filled out, signed by a parent, and returned at the time of your audition.
(2) Click HERE to sign up for a specific 10-minute audition time on either Tuesday, July 11 or Thursday, July 13. When you come to your audition, please arrive at least ten minutes early so as to keep us on schedule.
(3) Find and prepare a 1-2 minute dramatic monologue. If you need help finding a monologue, please do not hesitate to contact Charlie Leonard for help.
NOTE: If you wish to audition, but are unable to make and of the scheduled audition times, please contact Charlie Leonard prior to July 11 to make alternative arrangements.
