BWTC Communication Information: Keeping Connected!
For production-related communication with actors and their families, BWTC will regularly utilize an email list that will be created containing any and all email addresses provided to us on the student info form that is turned in at auditions. BWTC staff will also communicate with students and parents via additional means provided by its families (e.g. secondary email addresses, text and phone calls) to communicate the business of BWTC. Please note that BWTC maintains the privacy of all contact information.
Blue Water also maintains an active presence on social media, including (but not necessarily limited to) Facebook pages, Facebook groups (a new group is created for each cast), an Instagram page, and a Twitter account. Most our actors “follow” these groups and interact routinely with the organization on social media. We encourage parents to do the same.
In addition, members of the BWTC directing staff each maintain (to varying degrees) their own presence on social media. As a general rule, BW directors do not seek out actors to “friend” or “follow” on any social media site. That being said, BWTC directors are welcome to accept friend requests and /or follow actors (if they so choose) who have initiated the contact with the director on their own first.
Our assumption is that parents are aware of their student’s presence and interactions on social media, and are making their expectations of appropriate behavior known to their students at home. If you have any questions regarding this information, please contact Charlie Leonard at email@example.com.
