PARKING NOTICE FOR “BIRDS OF PARADISE” PERFORMANCE AT 4:00 ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 9:
The annual James J Hill Days parade through downtown Wayzata takes place at 2:00 on Sunday, September 9. It will be wrapping up at about the time our guests will be arriving for the show. Traffic will be intense, and parking will likely be difficult. Please allow yourself extra time, and anticipate walking a longer-than-normal distance. Guests with mobility issues can be dropped off right at our driveway on the north side of the building off of Walker Avenue.
The Harbor Island Players is an amateur theatre group whose lives are turned upside down when a down-on-his-luck professional actor offers to direct and star in one of their productions: a musical version of Chekhov’s The Seagull. As they rehearse, their egos and passions start to mirror the characters that they play. The approach of opening night drives everyone into a fever pitch until a sudden plot twist makes them all reevaluate their choices, both onstage and in life.
