BWTC is excited to announce the third annual 24-hour musical! From the brilliant minds behind such “classics” as THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD, THE SEARCH FOR SQUATCH, and ABDUCTED, this year’s show is called SCOUTS! We can’t really tell you much more than the title of the show, as part of the fun of the 24-hour musical experience is that none of the actors will have read the script — or will know anything about the show — until the rehearsal begins. But we can (almost) guarantee that it will be a tremendously fun time!
The cast and crew will meet for the first time on Friday, June 21 at 7:00pm. The entire rehearsal process will take place in one 24-hour period (ending on Saturday, June 22 at 7:00pm), including choreography, blocking, costuming, set construction, and group stretching.
There will be two public performances of SCOUTS on Saturday, June 22. One will be at 7:00pm and the second (the late show) will be at 9:00pm.
Auditions are open to current and alumni BWTC actors who are currently aged 15-20. Actors outside of that age range may participate with permission from Charlie Leonard. Please email Charlie if you have questions.
Auditions will take place from 7:00-9:00pm on Wednesday, June 19. Actors auditioning do not need to prepare anything for their audition. However, actors should fill out the SCOUTS ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM prior to coming.
A cast list will be posted on this page on Thursday, June 20. We are looking to cast 20-25 actors in the production. Cuts may be necessary, depending on the number who come out.
If you are not able to attend the audition, please contact Timothy Radermacher at 763-607-4002 or firstname.lastname@example.org to make alternate arrangements.
Scouts will have two public performances on Saturday, June 22. One at 7:00pm and the other one at 9:00pm.
Each actor who is cast in Scouts will need to pay a $50 production fee. This mostly helps defray the cost of a few show supplies and food. The actors will be fed 3-4 meals during the 24-hour experience.
If you have questions about Scouts, or about how the 24-hour experience works in general, please contact Timothy Radermacher.
