The Rumble 2: The Rumbling is a new sketch comedy show written (mostly) by the creators of the original Rumble: Adam Hebeisen, Jack Stetler, Maya Vagle, and Lahiru Samarasinghe. Covering everything from superheroes to parent-teacher conferences, this show is guaranteed to be a roller coaster for both the audience and the cast. No two performances will be the same, and neither will two actors (clones can’t audition, twins accepted). This production will be directed by Adam, Jack, Maya and Lahiru.
Auditions: Auditions are open to actors who are currently in grades 7 (2018-2019 school year) through college. Actors who wish to audition should attend their choice of the following three audition times:
Sunday, May 19 from 5:00-7:00
Monday, May 20 from 5:00-7:00
Tuesday, May 21 from 5:00-7:00
Please click HERE to RSVP for a particular date so that the directors know how many people to expect each evening. In addition, click HERE to fill out the online actor information form so that we know a little bit about you.
If you cannot make a scheduled audition, email Maya Vagle at firstname.lastname@example.org to make alternate arrangements.
This is a super chill process. If you want, prepare a short monologue for us (1 minute). You could try some stand up, tell us a funny story, do impressions, or really anything. We just want to you to have fun. We will also be doing some group improv exercises and singing so dress to move. For this you don’t have to prepare anything.
Casting: We are looking to cast about somewhere around 15 actors in the production. We are planning to post the final cast list on Wednesday, May 22.
Rehearsals: The Rehearsal schedule for this show will be very fluid because of space restrictions and the timeline of the show. We will start rehearsals on Sunday May 26 in the evening. In general we will rehearse on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. But once again, because of the nature of the summer schedule, these times will vary. Our goal is to plan about a week ahead and make sure we are communicating with everybody as needed.
