Blue Water Theatre Company is pleased to announce that ANNIE KIDS is our 2017 Elementary School Summer Theatre Camp! In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the original Broadway production of this timeless and charming musical, we are excited to be bringing a version of this beloved show back to the stage for the first time since 2012.
WHEN DOES THE CAMP TAKE PLACE?
The Elementary School Summer Theatre Camp runs daily (Monday through Friday) from 10:00-2:00 during the weeks of July 10-14 and July 17-21, although the rehearsal on Friday, July 21 may have extended hours as needed.
Performances of ANNIE JR will take place at 7:00pm on Friday, July 21 and Saturday, July 22, and at 2:00pm on Saturday, July 22 and Sunday, July 23. If ticket demand requires it, additional performances may be added on Saturday and/or Sunday, so families and actors should keep those days clear.
Actors who are involved in the production must be available for every rehearsal and performance.
WHERE DOES THE CAMP TAKE PLACE?
All rehearsals and performances of ANNIE KIDS will take place at Blue Water Theatre Company’s NEW arts facility at 605 East Rice Street in downtown Wayzata (right across from the public library). This is the building that formerly was home to the Unitarian Universality Church of Minnetonka.
WHO CAN REGISTER/AUDITION, AND HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?
ANNIE KIDS is open to student actors who are currently in grades 3 through 5 (2016-2017 school year). Registration is limited to 30 actors, first-come/first-served. All actors who register are guaranteed a role in the show. Specific roles will be decided by the directing team through an “audition” process on the first day of the camp.
Tuition for the Elementary School Summer Theatre Camp is $325 per actor. Once we receive your registration information, we will send instructions to you on how you can either pay online or via check.
