One of the most popular and beloved musicals of all time, Lionel Bart’s Oliver! has played to millions of people in countless productions all over the world since its London premiere in 1960, where the original production ran for 2,618 performances.
Based on the celebrated novel by Charles Dickens, Oliver! tells the story of an orphan boy’s quest to find his place in the world, and a family to call his own. Featuring some of the most famous songs in the history of musical theatre — including “Consider Yourself,” “As Long As He Needs Me,” “Where Is Love?” and “I’d Do Anything” — and a cast of characters that includes the hilarious Mr. Bumble and Widow Corney, the creepy Sowerberrys, the cruel Bill Sykes, the devious Fagin, the heartfelt Nancy, the charming Artful Dodger, and, of course, Oliver Twist himself — Oliver! is a timeless story that has been passed on from generation to generation.
