Blue Water Theatre Company is proud to announce that this fall we will be presenting (what looks to be) the regional premiere of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Performances will be at Eisenhower Community Center in Hopkins on December 4, 5 & 6 at 7:00pm.
An eccentric inventor, Caractacus Potts, sets about restoring an old race car from a scrap heap with the help of his children Jeremy and Jemima. They soon discover the car has magical properties including the ability to float and take flight. Trouble occurs when the evil Baron Bomburst desires the magic car for himself. The family joins forces with Truly Scrumptious and batty Grandpa Potts to outwit the dastardly Baron and Baroness and their villainous henchman, the Child Catcher.
Filled with amazing stage spectacle and unforgettable songs, including the Academy Award nominated title song, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is ultimately a feel-good story about the power of family and the bonds created to overcome any obstacle.
AUDITIONS & REHEARSALS:
- Auditions are open to all student actors currently in grades 6 through 12 (2014-2015 school year).
- Auditions for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang will take place on: Monday, September 8; Tuesday, September 9; and Thursday, September 11 from 7:00-9:30pm. Callbacks will take place on Saturday, September 13 from 9:00-noon.
- Rehearsals will begin on Monday, September 15. They will take place from 7:00-9:30 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and from 9:00-4:00 on Saturdays.
